Toucan poster! :)

hi! its me again. how are you today? are you happy that it's alert level 3 now?? wow. ok. so getting on with what i'm supposed to be doingπŸ˜‚ . So the other day, i made a poster about toucan! it had to have: a picture, key words surrounding the picture, and a brief summary. So I have done that. here is a picture of it. (it's kind of basic just to warn you)
by the way, i drew that toucan in google drawings so that is why it looks so bad!
so that is what it looks like. some of it does not make sense. also comment if  there is any animal that you want me to make a poster about. Thanks!

Questions:
did you learn anything new?

if i had a family mascot it would be...

If I had a family mascot it would be... A DOG!

Why would my family mascot be a dog?? Well my family mascot would be a dog because; we always need to eat, we are very active and sometimes we just want to go to sleep. We actually have a dog named Trevor. Here is a picture of him:
He is quite cute but really annoying and naughty, he is a bad dog but brings so much joy to our house!

Oh well anyways. So, the goal that I am working on is what my family mascot is. Here is link to my mascot google drawing. So I asked my mum if she liked the idea and she said she did. Hopefully you liked my extremely short blog post.

Questions:
Do you have any pets, if so what kind?
If you had a mascot what would it be?

covid-19 lockdown

Hello, its me and today and I want to tell you how my lockdown is going so far. So we are currently in lockdown for covid-19. We are in alert level 4 and I am really scared of the virus. I only have three of my friends email so i can not email or FaceTime the other two. At my house it is really boring and all we can do is: walk our dog, play with our dog, take care of our dog, play on devices, watch TV, and play board games. There is nothing really to do other that the other stuff that I just listed. Oh! I almost forgot, we have another thing to do which is something that Elise and I do to make people happy, and that is: So we write down a list of 5, 10, 15, or 20 things for people to do, then we put them in mailboxes and wait for them to get it, once they get it they will have a list of stuff to do. Eventually when they are done they put it back in our mailbox for us to see. Here is a picture of one that was passed into somebody's mailbox who passed it back;
10 things to do at home
1. Go for a walk
2. Draw
3. Color in
4. Write a poem
5. Play tag
6. Have fun
7. Play dress ups
8. Do sports
9. Eat
10. DO CHALK
Please rate this out of ten. Ten being the highest and one being the lowest. When you are done, please return this to __ _________ _____. Thank you!

School Fair Jolly Jars

Jolly Jars

This term, our Project Based Learning (PBL) started with the teachers putting us into groups. In these groups we had to work collaboratively to create Jolly Jars for the school fair. This task helped us to begin exploring our PBL question for the term - How can we build community through our actions? We had to research ideas, be creative with our product, experiment with our materials and write instructions that could be followed by others.

Here is a link to my instructions.
I learnt that instructions need to be very specific or else people will not understand.

Reflection on PBL:
For our Jolly Jar my group did origami

I contributed to my group by writing down all the ideas and putting our jars out on the table and writing instructions for my group to read them.

Our Jolly Jar was creative because it mostly includes paper, we used heaps of paper and pencils and we were very creative with our DIY ideas.

What I learned about working with others was that you can get stuff done quicker and there are lots of ideas coming in.

How did we build community through our actions? We made cute things to do when you are bored, on a plane flight or even at home when you are sick. You can put them up on a windowsill, a dresser, blu tack them onto your door at home or just give them to a friend or family member.

QUESTIONS:

Has your school ever had a school fair?
Do you do PBL at your school?

T'was the night before Christmas.

The Night Before Christmas

Twas the night before Christmas
I jumped past the toys to get to the door,
but I face planted into the floor.
He was covered in soot
and definitely a big-foot!
He left one thing,
the next morning we had a gathering;
everyone was wondering

The last thing he said was ‘I hope you have a great Christmas and a happy new year’

I know, it does not rhyme very well and it is really cringy but oh well! Thank you for reading my terrible 'poem' i guess.

Christmas

Hello! Today I am going to talk to you about Christmas.

Christmas is really really super cool and I know NO ONE who hates Christmas. If you do please comment down below, say why you hate Christmas, and maybe tell me a story. Christmas is a fun time, but not only because you get Christmas presents, but because Jesus was born on that day. Did you know that Christmas wasn't invented till Jesus was born? If you didn't then you know now.

Please go off and tell your friends to read my blogs. Please and thank you.

Question Time!:
How Do You Celebrate Christmas?
Do You Send Out Christmas Cards Every Year?
Do You Hate Christmas Or Do You Know Anyone Who Does?

Thank You For Reading My Blog Post! πŸ’ˆπŸ˜€

PBL Learning Term 4.

Hello. My name is Corinne and in case you are new, my school has a different pbl focus for every term. (PBL stands for project base learning) Our PBL focus for this term is: The New Zealand history.

We have been working on pbl for the whole term. We could choose what we wanted to do for each of these:
  1. Sport
  2. War
  3. Visual Art
  4. Food
  5. Myths and Legends
  6. Education
  7. Space Travel
  8. Drama/Dance/Music
  9. Women's Rights
  10. Fashion
We have been working on these for the past few weeks and my team has a lot of hard work put into it. It is about the kiwi education and we have been working on it for such a long time. For each term we have had a different generating sub question. We have student voice for each term apart from term one.
Here are all the different ones
  • Term one: Kindness
  • Term two: Climate change
  • Term three: Innovation
  • Term four: NZ history
My group has lovely people in it: Megan Swain, Lara Sherry, Elise Espostio, Charlie Lingard, and Corinne Esposito.

Does your school do PBL?
Have you ever done PBL before?

Thank you for reading my blog post
