T'was the night before Christmas.

The Night Before Christmas

Twas the night before Christmas
I jumped past the toys to get to the door,
but I face planted into the floor.
He was covered in soot
and definitely a big-foot!
He left one thing,
the next morning we had a gathering;
everyone was wondering

The last thing he said was ‘I hope you have a great Christmas and a happy new year’

I know, it does not rhyme very well and it is really cringy but oh well! Thank you for reading my terrible 'poem' i guess.

Christmas

Hello! Today I am going to talk to you about Christmas.

Christmas is really really super cool and I know NO ONE who hates Christmas. If you do please comment down below, say why you hate Christmas, and maybe tell me a story. Christmas is a fun time, but not only because you get Christmas presents, but because Jesus was born on that day. Did you know that Christmas wasn't invented till Jesus was born? If you didn't then you know now.

Please go off and tell your friends to read my blogs. Please and thank you.

Question Time!:
How Do You Celebrate Christmas?
Do You Send Out Christmas Cards Every Year?
Do You Hate Christmas Or Do You Know Anyone Who Does?

PBL Learning Term 4.

Hello. My name is Corinne and in case you are new, my school has a different pbl focus for every term. (PBL stands for project base learning) Our PBL focus for this term is: The New Zealand history.

We have been working on pbl for the whole term. We could choose what we wanted to do for each of these:
  1. Sport
  2. War
  3. Visual Art
  4. Food
  5. Myths and Legends
  6. Education
  7. Space Travel
  8. Drama/Dance/Music
  9. Women's Rights
  10. Fashion
We have been working on these for the past few weeks and my team has a lot of hard work put into it. It is about the kiwi education and we have been working on it for such a long time. For each term we have had a different generating sub question. We have student voice for each term apart from term one.
Here are all the different ones
  • Term one: Kindness
  • Term two: Climate change
  • Term three: Innovation
  • Term four: NZ history
My group has lovely people in it: Megan Swain, Lara Sherry, Elise Espostio, Charlie Lingard, and Corinne Esposito.

Does your school do PBL?
Have you ever done PBL before?

Thank you for reading my blog post

The Ferrymead Trip

Hello! It's Corinne again and I am back to tell you about tumu's ferrymead trip!!! Ok so starting off: The tumu hub arrived at school and the teachers did the roll!

Here is the story:
So tumu hub went to the bus and we drove away. After about 20 minutes we had arrived, and there was this strange man guiding us where we were going.  It was so weird! we had parent help to come along with us. As soon as we got out of the bus, we had to go in front of the man that was guiding us.
My favorite part about the trip was when we getting into the clothes it was really funny seeing people in those strange clothes! We all looked so weird.

Have you ever been to Ferrymead?

The Tragic Train Crash

On 24th of December 1953 was the day of the Tangiwai disaster. Tumu hub (my hub) did some learning on it. We all had to do something to share our learning. We haven't done a learning showcase yet but we hopefully will soon. Me and Elise (my twin sister) did an animation. Here is a link to it.  Animation. We hope you enjoy our animation. This is how we did it.
  1. So first of all, Elise made the slide
  2. Then Elise shared it with me
  3. Next Elise named it
  4. I made the first slide and changed the background.
  5. I applied the background
  6. We started writing but it didn't look so good so we decided to change it up a little.
  7. Since we wanted to change it a little we changed it up.
  8. We have come so far and don't really want to change it that much anymore.

Have you ever done an animation before?

Student Teachers

Right now at St Francis Of Assisi School we have student teachers. Our classrooms have one student teacher per classroom. In our class room we have Miss Thomas. In Tumu 1 or 2 we have Miss Wood. Miss Thomas is really nice and when she leaves I will be really sad. I will be really sad when Miss Wood leaves too. They are both really lovely people and  I could definitely have them back. Anyways lets stop making me sad. Miss Wood really likes to snowboard. Now I can tell you a bit more about them. Miss Thomas has blonde-ish brown-ish kind of hair, tanned skin, brown eyes, and she brings joy to the hub. Miss Wood has light brown hair, tanned skin, hazel kind of green eyes, and she brings joy to the hub.! Miss Thomas and Miss Wood both are really pretty.

Does your school have student teachers?
If it does how many are there??

How Has Technology Changed The Way We Learn?

How has technology changed the way we learn?

Hi, I am Corinne and I will be telling you how and why technology has changed the way we learn.

Technology has changed the way we learn. It has changed over the past few years. For example, when I was young (such as 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8) I only used iPads and tablets, where is nowadays I use Chromebooks. When I was year 1\2 and 3\4 I used iPads only for games, reading, and sometimes writing.

Sometimes technology can be great but sometimes it can be really annoying. I don’t think technology is good for your eyes when you go on it too much, so I recommend to not go on it 24\7 or else your eyes will go funny.

Technology has helped us in so many ways. When you think about it, it seems huge and it really is. There are so many types of technology, I can’t name them all, but I will try: computer, chromebook, phone, iPads, tablet, leapfrog tablet, and that is all I can name.

Technology can be really fun and lots of kids like to play video games on them but there are a lot of bad and scary things on them. I think that technology is cool, but not the best thing in the whole wide world. I can tell you what the best think is in the whole wide world. It is life. You can never have anything better than life. Anyways, continuing. Technology is really cool and you kids probably loooooooove video games, and that is why I am here today, right now, right here. Video games are really bad because, after you get addicted to them, you want to always be on your device. You can get really bad eyesight from doing that, so I would advise you not to go on your devices as much as you do now. I have told you already, but... technology is bad for your eyes, so don’t use it unless you need to! That is the end of my blog and thank you for reading!!!!

QUESTIONS!!
Does your school use technology?
Do you have any devices at your house?
If you have devices at your home, how long do you get to go on them for?

Thank you for reading!!!!
